As a Mechanical Engineer III, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical system designs while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project leaders. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute mechanical system design for assigned project scopes, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
Develop detailed engineering plans, layouts, and specifications for HVAC and related building systems.
Perform engineering calculations, system sizing, and cost analyses to support design decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver coordinated and efficient project outcomes.
Review technical drawings, vendor submittals, and equipment selections for accuracy and compliance.
Create comprehensive technical documents, including evaluations such as long-term cost studies and infrastructure condition reviews.
Support proposal development and contribute technical input for new business opportunities.
Participate in field investigations, site visits, and data collection to inform design improvements.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited program.
Approximately 6 to 9 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the built environment.
Fundamentals of Engineering certification required, with progress toward Professional Engineer licensure.
Strong proficiency with engineering design software and tools.
Experience with HVAC systems design, building systems, and construction documentation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment and Additional Requirements:

Ability to perform site visits, including navigating active construction environments.
Ability to manage typical physical requirements and technical challenges inherent in engineering roles.
