Position Summary
The Test Technician role provides hands-on technical support for manufacturing test processes, working closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure products meet quality, performance, and reliability standards. This role supports test infrastructure, test execution, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within a server and electronics manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting daily manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support manufacturing test processes for server and PC hardware
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and test failures to identify root cause
Support and maintain test infrastructure, ensuring systems remain operational
Assist with test setup, execution, monitoring, and analysis of test results
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve test efficiency and product quality
Support test processes throughout the product lifecycle
Monitor quality and test metrics and assist with corrective actions
Support tools, test equipment, and test software used on the production floor
Document test procedures, issues, and corrective actions as required
Ensure compliance with Lenovo quality, safety, and ESD standards
Maintain care of Lenovo tools, equipment, and systems used in daily operations
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or technical certification required
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field preferred
1–3 years of experience in manufacturing test, quality, or engineering support
Experience with electronics, PC, or server hardware preferred
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and basic software issues
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments
Basic networking or system knowledge is a plus
Understanding of ESD-safe manufacturing environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
Ability to work on the production floor and lift components safely
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting test infrastructure or test stations in manufacturing
Exposure to manufacturing quality tools or Lean methodologies
Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Python or similar) a plus
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
