Collection Operations Supervisor $26.27/hour; 40 hours/week Closing Date: Until Filled * Associate's degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two (2) years of college education with emphasis in utility construction and maintenance, engineering or a closely related field, supplemented by eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in water/sewer/stormwater utility system operations and maintenance, three (3) of which have been in a supervisory capacity * "C" level water distribution and wastewater collection system operator certifications or ability to obtain it within one (1) year * Valid South Carolina driver's license The Collection Operations Supervisor coordinates, supervises, and participates in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the City's wastewater/water/stormwater systems, and performs other technical, administrative, and supervisory work as required.
Work includes the coordination and supervision of utility system installation, maintenance and repair activities, as well as the supervision of subordinate team leaders, equipment operators, and maintenance staff.
The Collection Operations Supervisor remains on-call to assist the weekly assigned on-call crew and is on call during utility emergencies or severe weather events.
The Collection Operations Supervisor reports to the Stormwater Collections Superintendent.
