We are hiring Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift and Maintenance Electrician-3rd Shift in Tanner, AL

Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Location: Tanner, AL 35671

Duration: Temp to hire/Full time

Pay rate: Starting pay $20/hr (DOE) plus over time

Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 7:00PM-3:00AM & rotates on Saturdays from 6:00AM-2:00PM

POSITION OVERVEW & PURPOSE:

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client located close to Decatur, AL. In this role, you'll be the first responder for equipment breakdowns and the lead on preventive maintenance. Your goal is to minimize downtime and ensure a safe, efficient environment for our production team. Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled PMs on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and automated machinery to prevent unexpected failures.

PLC & Electrical: Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and repair electrical components (sensors, drives, VFD's, breakers, relays and switches).

System Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.

Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA safety regulations.

Documentation: Log all repairs and parts usage in our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years in industrial maintenance or a similar manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Tools: Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters).

Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long shifts.

Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or associate’s degree in Mechatronics/Industrial Maintenance is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Welding and fabrication experience.

Familiarity with specific brands (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Fanuc robotics).
