Job Description
RBC Support Services, operated by CoreCaring Group LLC, is seeking a part-time School-Based Behavioral Support Specialist to provide prevention-focused mental health and wellness programming within partner schools as part of a structured school-based behavioral health model.
This role focuses on promoting mental health literacy, social-emotional development, and early identification of student needs.
INTERNSHIP opportunities are available. Senior-level undergraduate students in relevant human services disciplines are encouraged to apply. All internship placements are structured and provided under licensed supervision
Responsibilities
Deliver classroom-based prevention presentations and wellness programming
Support school-wide mental health and wellness initiatives
Facilitate small group sessions focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, and resilience
Assist with implementation of evidence-informed mental health education curriculum
Identify students who may require referral to clinical services and communicate concerns appropriately
Collaborate with licensed clinicians, school administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation, attendance tracking, and activity records in accordance with organizational standards
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Education, or related human services field
Experience working with youth in school-based, behavioral health, or community settings preferred
Strong group facilitation and classroom management skills
Ability to support early intervention and prevention-based programming
Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportationCompany Description
