Associate Attorney

Job Description

ZaphyrRecruit is partnering with a well-established general practice law firm in Missouri to hire an Associate Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level attorney (0–7 years experience) to gain hands-on exposure across litigation and transactional work while working directly with experienced attorneys in a close-knit, high-performance environment. The firm has built a strong regional reputation and offers a unique “big fish in a small pond” opportunity, working closely with business owners and a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage client relationships and conduct client meetings

● Draft legal documents including petitions, motions, briefs, and communications

● Handle court appearances and litigation matters

● Work closely with senior attorneys to learn firm practices and client approach

● Collaborate with support staff and internal teams

● Maintain a consistent caseload and meet billable expectations

Key Requirements (Must-Have):

● Active Missouri Bar License (required)

● 0–7 years of legal experience

● Strong interpersonal and communication skills

● Business-minded approach to legal practice (billing, collections, client management)

● Willingness to work beyond standard office hours when required

Preferred:

● Courtroom or litigation experience (or strong interest in litigation)

● Strong writing and drafting skills (original, non-AI work)

● Positive attitude with strong situational awareness

● Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
