We specialize in intermodal freight and are committed to providing reliable service while ensuring our drivers are home every night. Due to a recent departure, we urgently need an experienced and highly skilled driver to keep our truck on the road and earning. We value safe operation and efficiency in busy city environments.

The Role We are actively seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to run local routes focused on city driving in the Chicago metro area. This is an urgent, full-time need designed for drivers who demand to be home every day but possess the skill and experience necessary to navigate high-traffic, urban environments. We are open to hiring two qualified drivers for a first and second shift rotation.

Key Responsibilities

Local Operations: Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck primarily within the Chicago metropolitan area, handling city traffic and tight corners with expertise.

Intermodal Freight: Manage and transport intermodal containers and cargo, utilizing required industry knowledge.

Documentation & Safety: Properly track and document activity logs; perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections.

Adherence: Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations.

Qualifications

Experience (Mandatory): Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience.

Licensing: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and current medical card.

Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required for insurance purposes.

Intermodal: Previous intermodal experience is a strong asset, though we are willing to train experienced drivers.

Work Ethic: Strong commitment to dependability, professionalism, and safe driving practices.

Compensation & Schedule

Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience and performance (to be discussed).

Schedule: Local routes, meaning you are home every day. We are open to discussing split shifts (First or Second) to accommodate two drivers.
