Role Summary
Our client, a well-established mid-sized law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to support its litigation practice with a focus on real estate–related disputes. The role prioritizes attorneys with experience handling matters involving property, development, landlord-tenant, or construction-related litigation.
While the position may include some general business litigation work, the firm is specifically seeking candidates with meaningful exposure to real estate litigation. This opportunity is well suited for early-career attorneys looking to build a long-term practice within a collaborative firm environment.Key Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
Assist with case preparation for hearings, settlement negotiations, and trials
Support litigation matters involving real estate disputes, including property, development, landlord-tenant, and construction-related issues
Collaborate with senior attorneys while taking on increasing responsibility for client mattersRequired Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active membership in a U.S. state bar (California licensure required)
2–3 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to real estate disputes
Strong working knowledge of applicable civil procedure and evidence rules
Experience in private practice with some responsibility for client matters under supervision
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Interest in building a long-term career within a mid-sized law firm environmentPreferred Qualifications
Experience handling real estate litigation matters, including:
Property disputes
Development-related litigation
Landlord-tenant disputes
Construction-related matters
Exposure to commercial or business litigation alongside real estate disputesCompensation & Work Model
Base Salary: $145,000 – $165,000 annually
