Job Description:

The Engineering Manager will lead a full-stack engineering team, focusing on high-level design and architecture. This role requires a strong technical background with experience in cloud architecture, services, and concepts. Coding is not a core responsibility but familiarity with cloud technologies and the tech stack (Java Spring Boot, Angular, Relational Databases, Cypress) is essential. Industry certifications like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications are a plus.

Technical Skillset:

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - certification is preferred.

• Knowledge of Java Spring Boot and Angular, even if not coding hands-on.

• Proficiency in architectural design and cloud-native design principles.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Rally (for story tracking), and CI/CD tools (CircleCI, JFrog, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker).

Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering efforts, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance of the application.

• Collaborate on architectural discussions, offering a clear technical vision and best practices.

• Define technical standards and acceptance criteria for engineering work.

• Oversee sprint progress, facilitating agile processes to achieve sprint goals.

• Evaluate and challenge technical solutions, guiding the team to select the best approach.

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent Azure or Google Certification
