Qualifications

State License Compact licenses are allowed. License must be in hand at time of application.

Certifications BLS (AHA)

Certifications NIHSS (AHA)

Certifications ACLS (AHA)

Certifications PALS (AHA)

Specialty Experience 1+ years of experience in Emergency Room in last 3 years.

Travel Experience 6 weeks of travel experience.

EMR Must have experience with EMRs.

Skills Assessment ERM skills assessment with 2.7+ score.

References 1 Charge RN reference within the last 720 days. 1 Supervisor reference within the last 720 days.

Additional Confirmations Charge experience is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with pediatric abdominal pain, asthma, burns, epiglottitis, head injury, and hyperglycemia is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with identifying and reporting abuse, infections, mental/behavioral health conditions, and poison ingestion is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with pediatric respiratory infections, seizures, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, and urinary tract infections is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with acute psychosis, drug overdose, managing violent behavior, psychiatric holds, and suicidal patients is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, and starting IVs is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with chest tube insertion and management, CPAP/BiPAP, interpretation of ABGs, intubation, and ventilated patients is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with continuous IV paralytics, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and IV vasopressors is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with CVA is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, and obtaining 12 lead EKGs is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with isolation precautions and triage is required.

Additional Confirmations Experience with managing and applying splints is required.

Additional Confirmations I confirm I have all of the following experience: 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience including one full year in-specialty within the past 12 months, previous travel experience, previous charge nurse experience, proficiency in Epic EMR, and clinical expertise in pediatric and psychiatric emergencies, IV and arterial line management, ventilator care, and continuous IV medication titration.

Flu Vaccine (Current Season) Must be for the current flu season. Medical and religious declinations are accepted. Willing to obtain allowed.

Travel Contract Must travel at least 60.0 miles to receive a travel stipend. Local candidates are eligible, but the pay package may adjust the rate by a few dollars per hour, will not contain a travel stipend, and will be entirely taxable.

Requested Time Off Up to 7 days of time off can be requested.
