Position Overview
Seeking a highly experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to lead database design, implementation, and support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle RAC, high availability, and performance tuning across mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage Oracle RAC databases (19c and above) in large-scale environments
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases on AIX platforms
Manage:
Data Guard / Active Data Guard (ADG)
High availability and disaster recovery solutions
Perform:
RMAN backup/recovery, cloning, and database refreshes (EXPDP/IMPDP)
Database upgrades, patching, and migrations (ZDM, GoldenGate, RMAN)
Configure and manage:
ASM storage, ACFS snapshot cloning
OEM 13c monitoring, alerts, and performance tracking
Optimize database and application performance through SQL tuning
Work with development teams to enhance database efficiency
Implement security features:
TDE, Data Redaction, VPD, encryption (at rest & in transit)
Provide production support and lead troubleshooting for critical issues Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
4+ years of experience with Oracle 19c
Strong expertise in:
Oracle RAC (5+ years)
AIX (7.x or higher)
RMAN backup and recovery
Data Guard / Active Data Guard
ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
Experience with:
Database performance tuning and SQL optimization
Shell scripting (UNIX/AIX) and PL/SQL
Database upgrades, patching, and migrations Preferred Skills
Experience with Oracle Cloud (OCI / ExaCC)
Experience with:
GoldenGate replication
Data warehousing (OLTP/OLAP)
Snapshot cloning (ACFS)
Knowledge of:
Capacity planning, observability, and security compliance Work Environment
