Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Columbus, OH Employee-Owned (ESOP) Company About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive document control, project tracking, and assisting the Project Manager across all phases of construction—from preconstruction through close-out. Key Responsibilities

Document Control: Maintain and manage all plans, specifications, tracking logs, shop drawings, RFIs, POs, proposals, and RFQs.

Project Management & Administration: o Maintain the cost-tracking database and establish project scopes. o Assist the Preconstruction team and Project Manager with the solicitation of bids for all trades. o Monitor scope changes for compliance and pricing; process field change orders, RFPs, and RFIs. o Coordinate day-to-day management tasks alongside the Project Manager.

Meetings & Communication: Participate and present at OAC and contractor weekly progress meetings.

Project Close-Out: Assist the Project Administrator in tracking checklists, collecting operations manuals, and preparing/submitting as-built drawings.

Business Development: Participate in project interviews and contribute to RFP/RFQ responses and the development of future job opportunities.

Safety: While in the field, support project safety policies and report safety information and violations to the Project Superintendent. Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer with a construction company is required.

Education: A four-year college or university program certificate, or 2–4 years of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Software Proficiency: o Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel. o Must be or become proficient in all aspects of the Procore project management system.

Communication & Reasoning: o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals and legal/construction documents. o Strong writing skills to prepare reports and responses for the Project Manager regarding inquiries or complaints. o Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from abstract and concrete variables.
