Position Summary
Prepare detailed working diagrams and cut programs of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.
Essential Job Duties:
Analyze blueprints, site surveys and other documentation to prepare detailed drawings to be used in sign manufacturing processes in accordance with the estimated bill of materials, quality expectation, and customer specifications.
Consult with project managers on changes and adjustments to signage requirements when required.
Prepare detailed, accurate drawings used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, shop layout, and scheduling work.
Review and analyze the project documents and identify drawing and specification conflict, insufficient information, and missing dimensions while contributing ideas to enhance project productivity and cost efficiency.
Create required manufacturing cut files, CNC cut sheets, cutter paths, patterns files and all other required manufacturing programing requirements.
Notify production management of changes that might impact material and labor costs.
Work in conjunction with production management to create best-in-practice manufacturing results as it relates to job responsibilities.
Share and participate in developing creative ideas.
Ensure proper file maintenance and proper file and drawing storage in correct locations/drives.
Participate as an active part in team activities and development.
Establish personal goals and participate in team goal setting.
Self-directed overseeing day-to-day responsibilities.
Support on-time performance/delivery.
Participate in the ongoing creation of quality best practices standards.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Trade school with computerized drafting related course a plus
Sign industry and other related design, engineering, or CAD experience
Computer Literacy required.
ERP systems navigation a plus.

MS office, Corel Draw, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
