Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathes using CAM software.

Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes.

Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and inserts based on material and part geometry.

Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and correct errors before production.

Optimize existing CNC programs for improved efficiency, cycle time, and tool life.

Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming and machining issues.

Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, tooling sheets, and setup instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for 2-axis CNC lathes.

Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering blueprints, including GD&T.

Strong knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, and their application for various materials.

Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, GibbsCAM) for generating toolpaths.

Ability to select appropriate feeds, speeds, and depths of cut for optimal material removal and surface finish.

Understanding of machine setup, including workholding, tool offsets, and part probing.
