Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
Minimum 4 years of experience with Oracle 19c
Minimum 5 years of experience working in AIX (version 7.x or higher) environments, including at least 2 years with Oracle 19c
Minimum 5 years of experience setting up, building, and configuring Oracle RAC, including at least 3 years with Oracle 19c
Minimum 5 years of experience using RMAN backup utility, including backup, restore, cloning, and recovery (with at least 2 years on Oracle 19c)
Minimum 5 years of experience with Active Data Guard (ADG) and Data Guard Broker, including at least 1 year with Oracle 19c
Minimum 5 years of experience working within AIX environments (7.x or higher)
Minimum 2 years of experience with OCI/ExaCC features, including resource provisioning, ZDM migration, observability, performance diagnostics, backup/recovery, and capacity planning
Minimum 2 years of experience using Oracle ACFS snapshot cloning with RAC and standby databases
Minimum 2 years of experience writing PL/SQL code
Strong experience with Oracle RAC administration, ASM storage, SCAN listener, and cluster configurations
Strong experience with database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
Experience with database migrations using ZDM, GoldenGate, RMAN, and Data Pump
Strong experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c
Strong scripting skills using Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL
Strong communication, customer service, and client management skills
Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud (ExaCC)
Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse environments
Experience with Oracle Advanced Security features, including TDE, Data Redaction, VPD, Unified Auditing, and data encryption
Experience working with OLTP, OLAP, staging, and data warehouse configurations
Experience in data modeling and database design
Oracle Database Administrator Overview:
The Oracle Database Administrator is responsible for managing, designing, and supporting large-scale Oracle database environments in a fast-paced and collaborative setting. This role focuses on Oracle RAC administration, performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery while ensuring optimal database performance and reliability. The DBA will work closely with development teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms, including OCI and ExaCC environments
Job Duties:
Install, configure, and administer Oracle RAC databases (19c and above)
Design and manage n-node clusters and data recovery solutions
Configure and manage physical standby databases, switchover, and failover processes
Perform database installation, patching, upgrades, and migrations on AIX platforms
Manage RMAN backup and recovery processes
Perform schema and table-level data refreshes using Data Pump
Configure and manage Active Data Guard and cascaded standby environments
Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions
Perform database migrations using ZDM, GoldenGate, RMAN, and Data Pump
Monitor database performance, logs, storage, and user activity
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application/database performance
Work with development teams to tune applications and improve efficiency
Configure Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c, alerts, and monitoring tools
Implement database security measures including encryption, auditing, and compliance controls
Work with Oracle Cloud (OCI/ExaCC) services for provisioning, monitoring, and optimization
Develop scripts using Shell, SQL, and PL/SQL
Support OLTP, OLAP, and data warehouse environments
Provide production and non-production support
Lead troubleshooting and incident resolution efforts
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
