Elementary Instructional Facilitator Grades K-6
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Teaching, 205-Day Contract
Reports To: Superintendent
Location: K-6 Elementary Buildings (Flexible Schedule)
Position Purpose
The Elementary Instructional Facilitator supports K-6 teachers in implementing high-quality Tier 1 classroom instruction that effectively engages all students in grade-level standards and learning experiences. This position focuses on building teacher capacity through coaching, professional development, and resource development to accelerate student achievement and growth across all elementary classrooms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instructional & Curriculum Coaching and Support
Provide one-on-one coaching to K-6 teachers to strengthen instructional practices and improve student learning outcomes
Conduct classroom observations and provide non-evaluative feedback focused on instructional improvement
Model effective teaching strategies and co-teach with classroom teachers as needed
Support teachers in implementing district and building instructional frameworks and initiatives
Assist teachers in planning intentional, grade-level instruction that maintains appropriate rigor and cognitive demand
Professional Development
Identify professional learning needs based on classroom observations, data analysis, and teacher feedback
Design and facilitate building-level and district-level professional development sessions
Lead collaborative grade-level planning meetings to support curriculum implementation and instructional alignment
Provide targeted support for teachers working with struggling learners, particularly bottom quartile students
Resource Development and Data Support
Develop instructional resources, tools, and protocols that support consistent implementation of high-quality teaching practices
Analyze student achievement data to identify trends and inform instructional support
Assist teachers in using formative and interim assessment data to drive instructional decisions
Support teachers in differentiating instruction while maintaining grade-level standards
Collaboration and Communication
Participate in collaborative grade-level team meetings across K-6
Work closely with building principals to align instructional support with building goals
Collaborate with district leadership to ensure consistency in instructional expectations
Support communication between teachers and parents regarding student learning and instructional strategies
Minimum Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree
Valid Arkansas Elementary Teacher Certification
3-5 years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience
Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices in both literacy and mathematics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators
Commitment to supporting all students in achieving grade-level standards
Preferred
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field
Evidence of measurable student growth and achievement in previous teaching assignments
Literacy-related certifications or endorsements (Reading Specialist, Literacy Coach, etc.)
Master Teacher designation or recognition
Experience with instructional coaching, mentoring, or teacher leadership
Knowledge of Science of Reading principles and practices
Familiarity with data analysis and data-driven instruction
Experience supporting diverse learners and differentiating instruction
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Deep understanding of grade-level standards and instructional best practices for grades K-6
Ability to provide constructive, non-evaluative feedback that supports teacher growth
Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance support across two buildings
Knowledge of effective literacy and mathematics instruction
Understanding of formative assessment and its role in instructional planning
Ability to model and articulate high-quality instructional practices
Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
Flexibility and adaptability in meeting the diverse needs of teachers and students
Physical Requirements
Ability to move between two elementary buildings as needed
Ability to stand, walk, and navigate classroom environments throughout the workday
Ability to participate in collaborative meetings and professional development sessions
Work Environment
This position works across two K-6 elementary buildings with a flexible schedule based on teacher and building needs. The work calendar is 205 days. The Elementary Instructional Facilitator will maintain regular communication with building principals and district leadership to ensure coordinated support for all elementary teachers.
