Job Summary:
The Skilled Maintenance III position performs advanced maintenance and repair work to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all agency facilities. Responsibilities include higher-level HVAC support and troubleshooting; complex electrical and plumbing repairs within scope; and general property maintenance. This role provides technical guidance to Skilled Maintenance I and II staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Advanced Repairs: Diagnosing and repairing complex issues in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and other building systems.
Leadership & Training: Acting as a lead worker, providing guidance, training, and technical support to less experienced maintenance staff.
Equipment Maintenance: Install, service, and repair various equipment.
Troubleshooting: Inspect, test, and diagnose problems with machinery, electrical wiring, and building systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine checks and servicing to prevent equipment failure.
Trade-Specific Work: Apply specialized skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and other building systems
Facility Upkeep: Maintain buildings, perform building inspections.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure work areas are clean and orderly.
Collaboration: Work with other maintenance staff, contractors, and managers on projects.
Mentorship: Work with other staff to provide guidance to less experienced workers.
Record Keeping: Maintain electronic accurate daily logs of all maintenance activities.
Emergency Response: Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.

Education & Experience
High school diploma, or GED required.
EPA Certification preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in general maintenance and/or construction experience
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to interact with and complete assignments in a manner sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical Requirements:
Physically demanding role, including frequent lifting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and working in confined spaces or extreme temperatures.
Frequent travel to all agency job sites required
Must be able to carry and lift moderate loads (50 lb. max.)
