Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting month-end close activities. Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining proper documentation and compliance.

• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and proper reconciliations.

• Perform account reconciliations to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and address any variances promptly.

• Assist with audits by preparing necessary financial documentation and reports.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as needed.• Proven experience in accounting, specifically with month-end close processes.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and journal entry preparation.

• Expertise in performing account and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
