Machine Operator (Kiln Operator) - Day Shift 7A-7P

Columbus Brick, a division of General Shale Brick, is seeking a Machine Operator (Kiln Operator) - Day Shift 7A-7P for our manufacturing facility in Columbus, MS. This position is hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include:

Operation of both tunnel kilns and all dryers

Monitor semi-automatic equipment

Record information

Respond to equipment alarms

Shovel gravel

Housekeeping

Applicants should possess and demonstrate the following skills:

Schedule includes three (3) 12 hour shifts and one (1) 6 hour shift

Great attendance

Good communication skills

Mechanical ability

Ability to read and follow written instructions

Demonstrate a sense of urgency and attention to detail

Good health with no work restrictions (extreme hot/cold environments)

Basic math skills (ability to read a tape measure)
