Job Title: Chassis Mechanic / Container Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Chassis Mechanic / Container Mechanic to join our team. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance on containers, chassis, and intermodal equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and general mechanical repairs, along with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance on containers, chassis, and intermodal equipment

Execute welding and fabrication tasks using appropriate materials and tools

Layout, cut, align, and fit components for repair and assembly

Secure parts using bolting, clamping, and tack-welding techniques

Operate and maintain welding and repair equipment

Repair or replace tires and wheel components as needed

Conduct general depot maintenance and assist with repair operations

Perform sheet metal fabrication and install/remove plywood flooring

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Follow all safety protocols and complete additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications

Prior experience in container repair, chassis repair, or a similar mechanical/welding role

Hands-on experience with hand and power tools used in fabrication and repair

Basic understanding of blueprints, diagrams, or technical documents (preferred)

Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor/industrial environment

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Commitment to workplace safety standards

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Valid driver's license required

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Additional Requirements

Must pass a pre-employment background check, physical exam, and drug screening

Compliance with federal safety regulations is required
