Junior Project Designer

Responsibilities: * Responsible for the production of conceptual and schematic level drawings, renderings, and diagrams under the direction of a more experienced designer to increase independence over time.

* Direct development of innovative design concepts with project teams to produce constructable solutions.

* Responsible for exterior material research and selections, and construction detailing to maintain design intent throughout the design process.

* Responsible for client-facing and internal presentations.

* Perform early programming and loading capacity studies.

* Interface and collaborate with interior designers and landscape designers for cohesive overall designs * Work with internal and external visualization designers to produce best-in-class renderings and animations * Help in the production of quality design awards, both locally and nationally.

Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (required) * Professional Degree and/or Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (preferred) * Proficient in Rhino, SketchUp, Test Fit, and other 3D modelling software * Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD a plus * Eventually, licensure will be expected * 3-5 years of professional experience * A strong portfolio highlighting student work and any professional experience, if relevant * A strong ability to multitask and pivot quickly between projects * A strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.

* Strong sketching skills a plus * LEED or WELL accreditation is a plus * Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects during the early stages, as well as assisting with Construction Management towards the end.

* Excellent written + verbal communication skills, client and consultant relationship management We are looking for candidates who can work a hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in the office) out of our office in Columbus, OH.
