Summary

Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled laboring tasks focusing on planters, weed removal, and tree care, in the parks department. Takes initiative to aid the city beyond general responsibilities. Flexible hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs basic horticulture, grounds keeping, cleaning, and planting

Performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties in maintaining parks and recreation areas and environs.

Mows, trims and edges lawns throughout the parks; repairs turf; cuts and cleans up uncontrolled weeds.

Performs general grounds keeping duties.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

No previous experience necessary, on the job training provided

16 years of age or older and capable of physical work in all weather conditions

May be required to possess a valid Utah driver's license
