Job Summary

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to produce precision metal or plastic components according to engineering specifications. This includes machine setup, material loading, monitoring production, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, or grinding machines

Load raw materials and secure fixtures properly

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional standards

Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools

Make minor adjustments and offsets during production

Identify and report machine malfunctions, tool wear, or quality issues

Perform routine machine maintenance

Maintain a clean, organized work area

Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing policies

Document production data and inspection results

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred

Basic understanding of CNC controls and machining processes

Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude

Work Environment & Schedule

Manufacturing/industrial environment

Extended standing, bending, and lifting may be required

Safety focused, fast paced setting

Available Shifts:

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Fri)

Pay: $19.00 – $19.70/hr

2nd Shift: 3:25 PM – 11:55 PM (Mon–Fri)

Pay: $21.00 – $21.70/hr

Overtime as needed
