Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Setup Operator to set up and operate Swiss-type CNC machines for the production of high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Swiss machining, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate Swiss CNC machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or similar)
Install and align tooling, guide bushings, and workholding components
Load, edit, and optimize CNC programs as needed
Set tool offsets, work offsets, and perform test runs
Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are operating properly
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
2+ years of Swiss CNC setup experience
Strong knowledge of Swiss machining processes and tooling
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or similar)
Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate:
$20 – $40 per hour (based on experience)
