Title: General Laborer 1st Shift

Location: Decatur, AL 35603

Duration : Temp to hire/Full time

Pay rate : $17/hr

1st Shift – Monday-Friday 6AM-4PM

Measurement test needed & steel-toed boots

POSITION OVERVEW & PURPOSE:

We are seeking an experienced General Laborer for our client close to Decatur, AL. You will perform a variety of operational functions and visual involving occasional strenuous activity or frequent light physical effort. Occasional awkward positions and repetitive motion This is a great opportunity to work with a leading automotive manufacturer while building your long-term career.

Responsibilities

Perform non-machine tasks, generally routine in nature.

Perform tasks using small hand tools and grinders.

Sand and polish metal.

Assist production, supply, and maintenance employees with tasks.

Furnish other employees with materials, tools, and supplies.

Clean and scrape metal preparatory to fabricating, welding, painting, or shipping, using a scraping tool,

an abrasive, or a solvent bath.

Pick up scrap from the area.

Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

Follow safe work practices.

Clean up the work area at the end of the day.

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to perform essential duties

High School Diploma/GED or graduation from certified technical school.

Must accurately read tape measure (assessment given).

Strong work ethic, good attendance, and ability to follow instructions.

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and work occasional overtime.

Steel-toed boots required.

Must pass background & drug screening.
