Behavior Specialist

Join The Kennedy Collective, a mission-driven nonprofit serving people with disabilities across Connecticut for more than 75 years. As a Behavior Specialist, you’ll develop and implement behavior support plans, train staff, and provide clinical guidance across multiple programs.
This role blends direct support, staff training, and program development to improve outcomes and quality of care.

Collaborative clinical team environment What You’ll Do
Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans
Provide training and coaching to staff on behavior strategies and data collection
Consult across residential, community, and employment programs
Monitor program effectiveness and ensure quality service delivery
Participate in Behavior Review and DDS Program Review processes
Maintain accurate behavioral documentation and reports
Collaborate with families, schools, and clinical providers
Travel between program sites as neededRequirements:
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Services, or related field required
Experience developing and implementing behavior plans preferred
Strong writing, data collection, and communication skills
Experience training or coaching staff preferred
Ability to work independently and across multiple settings
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
