Job Summary:
As an Event Bartender, your primary responsibilities evolve around the guest experience. In Food Service, there are both service and product knowledge expectations, with a significant focus on maintaining a hospitable mindset. The team serves a combination of both Food & Beverage and does so in a variety of different venues.
Essential Functions:
Greets guests pleasantly as they approach the bar; promotes house drinks and utilizes upselling whenever possible to maximize revenues.
Prepares beverages requested by banquet guests or banquet servers according to standard operating procedures establishing proper portions and ingredients to control costs and provide a consistent product to the guests.
Monitors guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service should cease; notifies management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers; checks identification to verify age requirements.
Sets up and tears down a portable bar including all alcohol, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies; keeps inventory of used and unused liquor and beverages.
Obtains, counts, and secures bartender’s bank; receives cash and credit payments from banquet guests; gives accurate change and balances cash drawer at end of shift.

Ability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull heavy workloads, exert up to 100 pounds of force and the ability to regularly lift 55 lbs.
Position requires standing for entire shift
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
Must be TIPS Certified
Specialized knowledge of bartending and mixing drinks
Guest-centric mentality with superior customer service
Basic reading, writing, and math skills
High school diploma
