V&R Corporation is seeking an experienced and dependable Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations at one of our convenience store and fuel locations. This leadership role is responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and driving strong sales performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and takes pride in running a clean, organized, and profitable store.

Key Responsibilities

Store Leadership

Assist Manager in daily store operations and ensure efficient workflow

Train, and supervise store employees

Create a positive and accountable team environment

Maintain high standards for customer service

Store Operations

Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards

Assist in product inventory, ordering, and stocking

Maintain proper fuel station operations and safety standards

Assist in opening and closing store procedures

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with all company policies and state regulations

Maintain tobacco, lottery, and alcohol compliance where applicable

Ensure a safe environment for employees and customers

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a leader who:

Has strong retail management experience

Is comfortable managing a fast-paced convenience store environment

Leads employees with accountability and professionalism

Understands inventory control and merchandising

Takes pride in running a clean and organized store

Qualifications

2–5+ years retail management experience preferred

Convenience store, gas station, or grocery management experience is a plus

Strong leadership and communication skills

Experience with POS systems and retail reporting

Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Ability to stand for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
