Job Title: Forklift Operator/Machine Operators
Job Description
Assist machine operators in setting up and operating production equipment. Monitor machines during operation to ensure consistent quality and output. Load raw materials and remove finished products from production lines. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of machinery. Inspect products for defects and report issues to supervisors. Maintain accurate production records and follow safety protocols. Support other production tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Operate machinery including extruder, laminating, press, and slitter machines.
Ensure production of products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
Assist with machine operating tasks and act as an assistant/helper in manufacturing settings.
Engage in general labor tasks including assembly, packing, and picking.
Essential Skills
Former industrial experience.
Knowledge of machinery functions.
Basic computer and math skills.
Forklift and clamp truck operations (training provided).
Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Capable of lifting approximately 50 lbs.
Experience with machine operating, assembly, general labor, and use of hand tools.
Familiarity with mechanical operations, packaging, and use of RF scanner.

Work Environment
Machine and forklift operation in a hot, loud environment with multiple lines. Opportunities for cross-training on various machines. Shift options include 2nd and 3rd shifts, with most 3rd shift positions running 12-hour shifts. 2nd shift runs from 3pm to 11pm, and 3rd shift from 11pm to 7am or 12am to 8am, with the 3rd shift operating from Sunday to Thursday.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland, VA.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00/hr.
