Job Title: Machine Operator Trainee (All Departments)
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to train across multiple production departments, including fillers, retort, pod fills, and other machine lines. You will support safe, high-quality food and beverage manufacturing by operating equipment, correcting product issues, and following strict safety, quality, and sanitation standards. The position starts on day shift with the potential to transition into a full-time role that includes cross-training on various machines and a move to night shift as needed.
Responsibilities
Train on and support machine operations across all departments, including fillers, retort, pod fills, and other production lines as assigned.
Inspect products and correct issues by removing incorrect labels, neckbands, and expiration dates from bottles and applying the correct labels.
Perform repetitive production tasks with consistent speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Maintain a high level of safety awareness and follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
Uphold strong quality standards and work with a high sense of urgency to meet production and quality goals.
Actively contribute as a working member of the production team and support coworkers to achieve shared objectives.
Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that aligns with the company’s mission, vision, and core values.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in full compliance with corporate and regulatory food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety expectations.
Perform other production, general labor, and machine operation duties as assigned by leadership.Essential Skills
Experience in production, general labor, general production, or machine operation.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Strong commitment to safety, including consistent adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
High level of attention to detail when inspecting and correcting product labels, neckbands, and expiration dates.
Capacity to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Willingness to move to night shift and work additional hours as needed to support production demands.
Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in food and beverage manufacturing is a strong plus.
Prior machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.
Familiarity with food safety, quality, and sanitation standards in a regulated environment.
Ability to cross-train on multiple machines and adapt to different production departments.
Comfort working under time pressure with a strong sense of urgency.
Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting, reaching, and repetitive motion.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This is a hands-on role in a food and beverage manufacturing facility that follows full Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). You will work on or around production machinery such as fillers, retort equipment, pod filling lines, and related production equipment. The environment is fast-paced and requires standing for most of the shift and performing repetitive tasks. The dress code includes steel-toed boots (which you must provide), hair net, beard net if applicable, uniform, and no jewelry to maintain safety and hygiene standards. The position may start on day shift with the expectation that you are willing to transition to night shift and work additional hours as production needs arise.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MECHANICSBURG, PA.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
