School Location: Wethersfield High School
Reports To: Director of Athletics & Student Activities
Stipend: Annual stipend as outlined in teacher collective bargaining agreement

The Wethersfield High School Band represents Wethersfield High School at multiple community functions and performs at competitions, parades and athletic events. The Assistant Band Director (Percussion) provides instruction to the students in both musical execution and visual interpretation and assists the Band Director in the management, design and planning of the band and color guard program.
The Assistant Band Director (Percussion) is expected to be at all band rehearsals and events, including but not limited to the spring and summer preseason camps, Band Camp in August, the fall competition season, competitions, performances (both in and out of state) and community events.
The Assistant Band Director (Percussion) will assist the Band Director in preparing students for performances during a spring and summer pre-season, Band Camp in August, and the competitive season from September - November. The Assistant Band Director is expected to attend weekly evening rehearsals, athletic events, and weekend competitions as needed.
