The Role & Landscape:
Stepping into this role, you will act as the key delivery engine and internal consultant for major systems implementation and process re-engineering initiatives.
- End-to-End Delivery: Take full ownership of project scope, resource allocation, scheduling, and budget management for large-scale retail banking transformations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Run critical forums and bridge the gap between highly diverse stakeholder groups, including business users, operations, IT, audit, legal, and compliance.
- Risk & Governance: Proactively identify project bottlenecks and implement rigorous mitigating measures to ensure seamless, on-time delivery.
- Process Optimization: Leverage your knowledge of the banking industry to recommend technology best practices, driving efficiency and cost improvements across current workflows.
- Team Enablement: Cultivate a high-engagement, Agile-driven culture, empowering your team to exceed user expectations and deliver superior technical outputs.
What We Are Looking For:
- A University degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in IT project management, preferably within complex, matrixed environments.
- Solid domain knowledge in retail banking; specific exposure to credit card systems or unsecured lending workflows is highly preferred.
- A strong foundation in Agile methodologies; prior experience as a Scrum Master or leading large-scale system revamps is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional financial management, dependency management, and project governance capabilities.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese), with the ability to communicate assertively and diplomatically with senior stakeholders.
- Bonus: Professional qualifications such as PMP, CSM, Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF), or Certified Banker (CB) under HKIB.
