About the Opportunity

At Driscoll’s, reliable and well maintained facilities are essential to delivering the highest quality berries worldwide. As our Maintenance Manager Morocco, you play a critical role in ensuring safe, compliant, and high performing sites that enable our operations to run smoothly and sustainably.

As Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance of Driscoll’s facilities and buildings across all Moroccan locations, including Agadir, Moulay and Larache. You ensure high asset reliability, strong cost control, and long term sustainability across these sites.

This is a leadership role requiring a strong mix of technical expertise, people management, and operational excellence. You work closely with local teams, contractors, and regional stakeholders to deliver facilities performance that supports daily operations and future growth.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will take end to end ownership of maintenance and facilities performance across Morocco. You combine hands on operational leadership with a strategic, data driven approach to asset management, people development, and continuous improvement. Working closely with local teams, contractors, and regional stakeholders, you ensure safe, reliable, and cost effective facilities that support both day to day operations and long term business objectives.

People leadership

Lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams and external contractors

Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards

Foster a safety first culture and continuous improvement mindset

Support training, capability development, and succession planning

Ensure effective resourcing and workload prioritisation

Asset management & maintenance planning

Own the full lifecycle management of facilities and building assets

Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PPM) plans and long term asset strategies

Reduce reactive maintenance through reliability focused approaches

Analyse maintenance and asset performance data to drive decisions

Ensure statutory inspections and compliance documentation are up to date

Budget & capital management

Manage and control the maintenance OPEX budget

Track spend, contractor costs, and service performance

Deliver cost efficiencies without compromising safety or reliability

Support CAPEX planning, business cases, and ROI justifications

Lead and support capital projects within scope, time, and budget

Projects, contractors & continuous improvement

Lead maintenance and facilities projects end to end

Select, onboard, and manage contractors and service providers

Negotiate SLAs and manage commercial performance

Implement best practice maintenance methodologies (Lean, TPM, RCM)

Identify energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational improvement opportunities

Health, safety & compliance

Champion health, safety, and compliance across all sites

Ensure adherence to local statutory and regulatory requirements

Lead risk assessments, permits to work, and safe systems of work

Suport audits, inspections, and incident investigations

Candidate Profile

You bring a strong blend of technical maintenance expertise, leadership capability, and commercial awareness. You are comfortable operating in complex, multi stakeholder environments and know how to balance safety, reliability, and cost control. With a structured and proactive approach, you translate strategy into execution while keeping people, performance, and compliance front of mind.

Essential

Proven experience in maintenance, facilities, or engineering leadership

Strong people management skills across internal teams and contractors

Experience managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets

Solid knowledge of asset lifecycle management, PPM, and CMMS/CAFM systems

Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills

Data driven mindset, using KPIs and performance metrics to drive results

Preferred

Qualification in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline

Experience working across multiple sites

Experience with refrigeration and/or air conditioning systems is a strong plus

Knowledge of energy management, sustainability, or net zero initiatives

Experience operating in regulated or audited environments (e.g. ISO, GMP)
