Manufacturing CAD Technician:
Analyze blueprints, site surveys and other documentation to prepare detailed drawings to be used in sign manufacturing processes in accordance with the estimated bill of materials, quality expectation, and customer specifications.
Consults with project managers on changes and adjustments to signage requirements when required.
Prepare detailed, accurate drawings used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, shop layout, and scheduling work.
Reviewing and analyzing the project documents and identifying drawing and specification conflict, insufficient information, and missing dimensions while contributing ideas to enhance project productivity and cost efficiency.
Create required manufacturing cut files, CNC cut sheets, cutter paths, patterns files and all other required manufacturing programing requirements.
Notifies production management of changes that might impact material and labor costs.
Work in conjunction with production management to create best-in-practice manufacturing results as it relates to job responsibilities.
Shares and participates in developing creative ideas.
Ensures proper file maintenance and proper file and drawing storage in correct locations/drives.
Participates as an active part in team activities and development.
Establishes personal goals and participates in team goal setting.
Self -directed overseeing day-to-day responsibilities.
Supports on-time performance/delivery.
Participates in the ongoing creation of quality best practices standards.
Required Competencies:
High school diploma or equivalent
Trade school with computerized drafting related course a plus
Sign industry and or other related design, engineering, or CAD experience
Computer Literacy required.
ERP systems navigation a plus.
MS office, Corel Draw, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks
Other Criteria:
Reports to director of product and process development (Ross)
The ideal candidate will be able to work on site Monday thru Friday. Only in special circumstances will remote work be considered.
At times Job does require overtime during high demand periods
