Instructional Assistant I - Upper Grade Math Aide

Under the immediate supervision of a certificated teacher and principal, assist classroom teachers and other certificated personnel in the supervision of pupils and in instructional tasks that may be performed by a person not licensed as a classroom teacher in categorical programs; perform related work as required. Not responsible for initial planning or instruction.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Associate of Arts degree or two years of college credit (48 units). Paraeducator competency test is available for those who lack the college credits. Include two letters of reference. NOTE: State law requires that employees must complete fingerprint process to check for or verify conviction record. A record of conviction will not automatically disqualify you from employment, but failure to list convictions may result in disqualification or dismissal.

Comments and Other Information

Position is Monday through Friday. 3 hours per day. Approximately 250 hours total for remainder of the school year.
