Position Summary

The Digital Media Intern supports social media content creation, publishing, and performance monitoring, helping execute digital storytelling and brand communication efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in content development, audience engagement, and social media strategy.

Areas of Opportunities

Assist with capturing photo and video content at events and in-office

Help draft and schedule social media posts across platforms

Assist with media monitoring and social listening

Help Track trends and support real-time engagement opportunities

Provide general support to the digital and media relations teams Qualifications

Interest in social media, communications, or marketing

Strong writing and editing skills

Affinity for architecture and design

Basic photography/video skills (mobile is fine)

Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and X

Organized, proactive, and collaborative Learning Opportunities

Hands-on experience managing brand social media channels

Exposure to media relations and social listening tools

Opportunities to build a professional content portfolio

Insight into digital strategy within a national organization

Internship Details

This is an 8-week, full-time, hybrid paid Summer internship scheduled from June 15, 2026, through August 7, 2026. The selected candidate will be required to report to the AIA Global Campus 1-2 days per week, with the remaining work performed remotely. Onsite location- 1735 New York Avenue NW; Washington, DC 20006.

Eligible applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Internship Stipend

$5500 total stipend (paid over the course of the internship)
