Description:

The Local Content Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies that ensure compliance with Namibian local content regulations and policies.

The role aims to maximise participation of Namibian citizens, businesses, and resources in company operations, while contributing to sustainable economic development.

Key Responsibilities Local Content Strategy & Implementation Develop and implement local content plans aligned with national policies and client requirements.

Identify opportunities to increase Namibian participation across the value chain.

Support integration of local content objectives into project planning and execution.

Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with Namibian local content legislation, policies, and contractual obligations.

Monitor and track local content performance metrics (employment, procurement, training). Prepare and submit regular local content reports to regulators and stakeholders.

Maintain accurate records for audit purposes.

Supplier Development Identify, evaluate, and onboard local suppliers and SMEs.

Facilitate capacity-building initiatives for Namibian businesses.

Collaborate with procurement teams to prioritise local sourcing opportunities.

Workforce Development Promote recruitment of Namibian nationals across all levels.

Support implementation of training, skills development, and succession planning programs.

Track and report on localisation targets and workforce demographics.

Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with government bodies, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

Build relationships with local communities, training institutions, and business associations.

Represent the company in local content forums and engagements.

Data Management & Analysis Collect, analyse, and interpret local content data to inform decision-making.

Develop dashboards and reports to track performance against targets.

Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
