Job Summary

We are seeking a caring and dependable 3rd Grade Aide to support the classroom teacher in fostering a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with elementary-aged students and is committed to supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and instructional activities

Provide individual and small-group support to reinforce lessons in reading, writing, and math

Help maintain a structured, organized, and positive classroom environment

Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times

Support classroom management and encourage respectful, responsible behavior

Assist with preparation of instructional materials and classroom organization

Encourage student independence, responsibility, and engagement in learning

Communicate effectively with the teacher regarding student progress and needs

Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as appropriate

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required (Paraprofessional Certification or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)

Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or educational setting preferred

Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in working with children

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to follow directions and support classroom instruction

CPR and First Aid Certification (required or willingness to obtain)
