Position Summary
The 3rd Shift CNC Operator position is responsible for job set-up, operation, trouble shooting, tool changes, and quality control. The CNC Operator must keep focused completing tasks on time and according to blueprints and work orders. This position will also be responsible for working on other items while CNC Operator is in process of fabricating parts, training employees, along with helping other departmental employees, adhering to production schedule while maintaining a quality product.
Key Responsibilities
Must have mechanical background to include power and/or air tools
Must have ability to run or learn to run CNC Router, shear, notcher, saws, drills and presses
Must have ability or be able to learn to run computer and CNC programs
Must have machining experience or ability to learn machining processes
Must have knowledge and hands on experience with production processes
Must be able to problem solve and make decisions
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
Ability to inspect finished products during manufacturing
Must be able to lift and move around aluminum and plywood sheets
Must be able to apply quality assurance techniques
Must meet or exceed cost reduction goals
Must have ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniques
Knowledgeable of Life Line product and materials needed for production
Work closely with Engineering staff
Must possess ability to meet deadlines
Work with and assist production personnel
Work closely with parts department on items needed
Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Must have good mathematical skills
Good communication skills
Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or technical training in related field or equivalent experience
Self-starter with good work discipline
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Team player
Results orientated
Motivated
Desire to obtain additional personal developmental training
Preferred Experience
Previous computer, mechanical and CNC machining experience and Life Line product knowledge a plus
Work Environment
Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment
Exposure to welding fumes, sparks, noise, and heavy components
PPE required
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, grip, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, move and carry
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Ability to use your senses of sight, touch, sound and smell

Contingencies of Employment
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination
Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, if applicable to the position
Working Hours:
Monday – Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Flexibility required for occasional early or late shifts. Training shifts are on 1st shift 6am-2:30pm
