Job Summary

Urban Meyer’s Pint House is looking for a high-energy, leadership-driven Service Manager to join our team. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front-of-house (FOH) staff, ensuring every guest receives a "championship-level" experience. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, particularly during game days and peak hours, while maintaining the upscale-casual atmosphere our brand is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and motivate FOH staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and food runners.

Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and continuous training of staff to ensure service standards are consistently met.

Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, floor assignments, and performance goals.

Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment.

Guest Experience

Maintain a constant presence on the floor during peak hours to engage with guests and support the team.

Proactively address guest feedback and resolve any service issues with a professional and hospitable approach.

Ensure that food and beverage presentation and service speed meet brand standards.

Operational Excellence

Manage floor flow and seating strategies to maximize covers and minimize wait times.

Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and shift reports.

Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to ensure seamless communication between the front and back of the house.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the restaurant and patio areas.

Financial Performance

Assist in managing labor costs through strategic scheduling and floor adjustments.

Monitor inventory levels for beverage and service supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.

Identify opportunities to drive sales through staff upselling and localized promotions.Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of management experience in a high-volume, casual or upscale-casual restaurant.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead a diverse team and handle high-pressure situations with a level head.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of craft beer, spirits, and elevated pub cuisine. Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha) is a plus.

Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and major sporting events (game days are our busiest times).

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
