Applications Developer SME

Responsibilities

Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking an Applications Developer SME to work for our company.

Summary

Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)

Client Agency is Customs & Border Protection.

Technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software.

Performs high level studies, analysis and evaluations of recent designs, integrations, documentation and implementation of similar complex projects.

Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develop specifications to resolve them.

Contributes to assuring consistency of overall analytical effort.

Maintains records and drafts preliminary reports. experience providing programming solutions in a variety of settings.

Experience with database, internet, web, e-business, and commercial-off-the-shelf software and interfaces.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage the work of others.

Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.

Translates detailed design into computer software.

Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required and quality product.

Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.

Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.

Provides technical direction/assistance to subordinate staff.

Requirements

Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)

Must have a bachelor's degree.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in an IT-related field is required.

Must have strong communication skills.
