Field Engineer - OHIO

Job Title: Field Engineer - Columbus, Ohio Job Description Join our team as a Field Engineer and play a hands on role in the electrical construction of a utility scale wind farm.

You'll support critical activities including trenching, AC/DC collection systems, terminations, conduit runs, inverter installation, and combiner box work-while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and project execution.

Responsibilities + Promote job site safety and ensure proper PPE compliance + Support superintendents and foremen with planning and daily field coordination + Track construction schedules, including three week look ahead plans + Inspect work for scope, quality, and contract compliance + Administer QA/QC processes and maintain accurate documentation and logs + Monitor quantities, material deliveries, and subcontractor progress + Assist with material requisitions, timecards, expense reporting, and project logs + Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, office staff, consultants, and owners' reps + Attend project meetings and support field documentation, inspections, and reporting Essential Skills + Experience with Procore, construction management, and commercial construction.

+ Ability to manage projects, perform inspections, and interpret blueprints.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or equivalent education and experience.

+ Prior construction experience, including internships.

Work Environment This is a 100% onsite, outdoor role requiring full time presence on the job site.

Expect 60-70 hours/week during construction season, up to 100% travel, and work in rural locations under varying weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
