Airbus DS Government Solutions Inc is seeking two Engineering Interns for the summer of 2026. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience in satellite systems design and engineering at a leading defense and space technology company. You'll work on-site at our Plano, Texas facility, collaborating with experienced engineers and contributing to innovative projects that matter.What You'll Do
As an Engineering Intern, you will participate in satellite systems design, engineering support services, and training activities under the mentorship of senior-level engineers and managers. You'll deliver engineering services including design, testing, troubleshooting, and analysis while working alongside peers to drive innovative program solutions. This role offers the opportunity to complete meaningful engineering projects in a timely, thorough, and accurate manner.Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering support to team members, including testing, system design, troubleshooting, and documenting solutions using principles of electrical engineering, physics, and material science
Ensure system and product quality by designing test methods, testing finished products and system capabilities, and confirming assembly and installation processes
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Troubleshoot design and fabrication problems with electrical and electromechanical systems, identify root causes, and develop creative and pragmatic solutions
Stay aware of current state-of-the-art technologies and trends in electrical or mechanical engineering, and suggest product improvement ideas
Support other miscellaneous duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited program
Strong hands-on electrical or mechanical aptitude
Understanding of basic computer networking
Experience with software tools, such as Python
Ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as a member of cross-functional teams
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize and support multiple tasks
U.S. citizenshipNice-to-Have Skills
RF (Radio Frequency) knowledge
Experience with CAD design software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, Draftsight, Visio, or similar)Ready to Apply?
