Ocenco’s escape breathing devices, certified to national and international standards, protect the user from harsh and irrespirable atmospheres while escaping to safety.

Ocenco’s escape devices range in duration from fifteen minutes to two hours. The M-20 EEBD series are belt worn and the smallest self-contained escape devices in the world. The M-40 EEBD series are also belt worn and provide 30 minutes of escape time. The EBA SCSR series are stored at the work place for escape durations from ninety minutes to two hours.

Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried position

Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is a key contributor to our Purchasing Management and Material Control strategy, playing a critical role in ensuring materials are available to support production and customer demand. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will partner closely with Inventory Planning, Purchasing, Operations, and Suppliers to drive timely purchasing decisions, maintain accurate data, and minimize supply disruptions. Success in this role requires strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and a customer-first mindset when working with both internal teams and external partners.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

Prepares and administers contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.

Confirm that terms and delivery dates are accurate.

Maintains database regarding vendors’ performance and quality of product(s).

Issue purchase orders and intercompany orders based on requirements from Inventory Planning

Track and maintain order data, including due dates, receipts, pricing, and status updates

Monitor supplier performance and proactively expedite critical orders to ensure on-time delivery

Communicate delays, risks, or supply issues to leadership and recommend solutions

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams

Request and evaluate supplier quotes for cost, quality, and availability

Support negotiation of pricing, delivery terms, and service expectations

Maintain accurate procurement data within ERP/MRP systems

Coordinate logistics and movement of materials between suppliers and facilities

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Proficient with inventory reporting systems.

Ability to travel up to 10% (if necessary)Education and Experience:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.

Two years of experience in material control or purchasing in manufacturing preferred.Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time.
