Job Type: Full Time, Temp-to-Hire

Salary: $23-27/hr, commensurate with experience

Schedule: M-F, 6am - 2pm (start time is flexible within a half-hour)

On-Site, Streamwood, IL

Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Post Print Equipment (Press) Operator to join their team in Streamwood, IL. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a warehouse setting, as well as experience using Tool, Die, and Stamping presses, including but not limited to Kluge EHD 14x22 Hot Stamp and Die Cutting Press, Rollum equipment, and Miehle equipment. Upon successful completion of the contract, the associate would be eligible to be converted to a permanent full-time employee of the client.

Key Responsibilities:

•Set-up and operate Kluge EHD 14x22 Hot Stamp and Die Cutting Press.

•Ensure accuracy of all work being performed by reading the work order, setting up the jobs properly and verifying the quality of the work performed after completion.

•Accurately record operation times and quantities into the management information system.

•Assist in other production departments as requested or needed.

•Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

•Be punctual and dependable; accountable for assigned work shift.

•Comply with all safety and environmental rules, regulations, and guidelines, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements

•Take direction from and communicate with others.

•Participate in cross-training within and outside of home department, as required; includes training to learn various machines/equipment, as well as providing training through sharing of knowledge and skill.

•Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and organized.

•Dispose of hazardous and all other waste materials in accordance with regulatory procedures and policy.

•Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Qualifications:

•High school diploma; or GED: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Related equipment experience preferred.

•Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

•Ability to use a computer and work with Microsoft Office software.

•Ability to effectively communicate with other team members throughout the organization.

•Have strong mathematical skills.

•Have mechanical skills. Able to diagnose and fix small repairs to the equipment.

•Ability to be on your feet, standing and/or walking, for the duration of your shift.

•Ability to perform such actions as bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, and lifting, sometimes repetitively, throughout the shift.

•Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

•Must have the ability to work overtime and occasional weekends to accommodate production needs.

Please note that a drug test that checks for THC is required for this role.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
