The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated full-time (Gastroenterologist) Program Manager in Salisbury, NC, to lead our compassionate healthcare team. Our facility is equipped with advanced Olympus scopes for comprehensive GI procedures, providing an excellent environment for professional growth. The Gastroenterology Program Manager reports to the Section Chief and supports administrative and clinical operations, including endoscopy. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day clinic and endoscopy operations and collaborating with Nurse Managers and HAS for optimal clinic utilization. The Program Manager provides direct oversight to Advanced Practice Providers and supports tasks assigned by the Section Chief. Additionally, they lead quality improvement projects within the Gastroenterology section.

Benefits
Salary Range: $350,000-$400,000
Sign on Bonus: Authorized
EDRP: Education Debt Reduction Program Authorized
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Work-Life Balance: Various flexible schedule options are available. This includes standard 8–10-hour workdays and compressed work schedules.
Call Schedule: There is no call at Kernersville. It is an HCC. Can take calls at Salisbury VA Medical Center one day a week.
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by V.A.
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory
CME: Possible $2,500 per year reimbursement
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
Academic Affiliation: Atrium Health Wake Forest
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible. Must be eligible for academic appointment.
