Title: MuleSoft Architect

Location: Chicago, ILRole Overview

A MuleSoft Architect designs scalable integration architecture, defines best practices, and leads development teams in building APIs and integrations using the MuleSoft platform.Key Responsibilities

Design enterprise integration solutions using API-led connectivity architecture.

Develop and review APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

Define integration patterns, security policies, and governance standards.

Lead technical design discussions with stakeholders and development teams.

Provide architecture guidance for microservices and cloud integrations.

Ensure performance, scalability, and security of APIs.

Mentor MuleSoft developers and review code quality.

Integrate systems like ERP, CRM, databases, and cloud services.

Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform components:

Anypoint Studio

Anypoint API Manager

Anypoint Exchange

Experience designing RESTful APIs and SOAP services.

Strong knowledge of API design, RAML, and OpenAPI.

Experience with integration patterns and middleware architecture.

Knowledge of cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

Strong understanding of security protocols (OAuth, JWT, SSL).

Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering.

MuleSoft certifications such as:

MuleSoft Certified Developer

MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect

Experience with enterprise integration projects.
