Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of small engines and associated equipment. We pay better than anyone else in this field but we are going to pay you according to your competency!
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and Repair: Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on both 4-Cycle and 2-Cycle engines.
Engine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and overhauls on small engines.
Equipment Repair: Service and repair a diverse range of small engine-powered equipment, including but not limited to:
Construction Equipment (e.g., Air Compressors, Generators, Concrete Saws)
Lawn & Landscape Equipment (e.g., Mowers, Trimmers, Blowers, Tillers)
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently, ensuring equipment is restored to full working order.
Parts Management: Order, track, and manage necessary replacement parts.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all repairs, services, and parts used.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
Customer Service: (If applicable) Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and necessary work.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience is REQUIRED: MUST have demonstrated, verifiable experience as a Small Engine Mechanic.
Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of engine components, fuel systems, ignition systems, and electrical troubleshooting for both 4-Cycle and 2-Cycle engines.
Specific Equipment Experience: Proven experience repairing and maintaining a wide range of small engine equipment, with examples such as:
Generators
Air Compressors
Concrete Saws and other construction equipment
Various types of lawn and landscape equipment
Skills: Excellent mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
Tools: Must have or be willing to acquire necessary tools for the trade.Company Description
