Volt is immediately hiring for Assembly Operator I at Grayslake, Illinois 60030.

As an Assembly Operator I, you will:Assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.Effectively monitor production equipment.Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.Operator air and power tools, as needed.Responsible for following safety rules as well as using safe procedures.Work closely with the Quality Control Department.Empty the cardboard container and trash receptacles as needed.Keep all tools and supplies in their work area put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis.

Keep work area clean and organized.Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:High School diploma or equivalent.Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.Read and understand blueprints/drawings.Organization skillsMechanical aptitude.Communicate effectively.Knowledge of various types of equipment and processes such as: o Air and power tools o Rulers, tape measures, and gagesAbility to work independently.

Schedule: 1st Shift-6:00am – 2:30pm 2nd Shift 2:30PM to 11:00PM.

Location - Grayslake, Illinois 60030 Payrate Range in Between - $17- $18.70/hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
