About the Role The Contract Manager position is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of government contracts in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

This role supports business development, program execution, and financial objectives by ensuring contracts are properly structured, negotiated, administered, and closed.

The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of government acquisition regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS), excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders and government customers.

Responsibilities:Manage pre award, award, post award, and closeout phases for government contracts, task orders, modifications, and subcontractsReview solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, IFBs) and identify contractual risks, compliance requirements, and cost/price issuesLead or support contract negotiations with government contracting officers, prime contractors, and subcontractorsDraft, review, and negotiate contract terms, conditions, amendments, and modificationsEnsure compliance with FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and company policiesIdentify contractual, regulatory, and financial risks and recommend mitigation strategiesMonitor contract performance to ensure adherence to scope, deliverables, funding, and scheduleSupport audits, contract reviews, and internal/external compliance assessmentsPartner with Business Development on proposal strategy, terms and conditions, and contractual inputCollaborate with Program Management, Finance, and Operations to ensure contract requirements are fully understood and executedServe as the primary contract point of contact for assigned government customersProvide guidance and training to internal teams on contract obligations and best practicesMaintain accurate contract files and documentation in contract management systemsTrack key contract data such as period of performance, funding status, options, and modificationsDevelop reports and dashboards to support leadership decision making where appropriate Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field5+ years of experience managing government contracts (Federal, State, or Local preferred)Strong working knowledge of FAR and government contracting principlesProven experience negotiating contracts and supporting proposal effortsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a deadline driven environment Preferred Skills:Experience with cost reimbursement, firm fixed price, T&M, IDIQ, and GSA Schedule contractsPrior experience in a government contracting environmentCertified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), CFCM, or DAWIA certification preferred but not requiredExperience supporting DoD, civilian agencies, or state/local governmentsKnowledge of subcontract management and flow down requirements JS Global is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
